Yohimbe. For years, the herbal alkaloid portion of the Corynanthe Johimbe tree has been used as an aphrodisiac; scientists have become even more interested in this herb as more sophisticated measurement tools have become available. Yohimbe has been labeled an alpha-adrenergic antagonist that selectively blocks nerve signals that affect your body's response. In other words, as long as you don't have any underlying urinary problems, yohimbe can be very effective in correcting faulty signals that impede sexual performance.*

Men who used yohimbe in the amounts provided in Natural Support for Men reported greater frequency in sex, a stronger erection during sexual activity, more satisfaction with the sexual experience, and greater satisfaction of their partners; those randomized to the placebo product did not. Curr Thera Res 1994; 55:776-785), a plant native to Florida and other warm states, in promoting prostate health. It seems to do two very important things that support prostate health and improve sexual performance: decrease estrogen levels, which increase with aging and weight gain, and prevent testosterone from being turned into a non-effective form.*
